Grammy® winner The Tony Rich Project will headline the 1st annual H’ARTbeats in Harmony Festival on October 3, 2009. As part of the inaugural weekend of GLOBAL – the Greater Long Beach Arts Lab, the program has two major parts. Beginning at 1PM with a children’s portion with Applesauce Music with Miss Suzi and The Boomerang Gang, family drum circle, and a children’s community art project. The adult portion of the festival beginning at 2:30PM brings hip-hop, jazz, R&B, acoustic rock, spoken word poetry, and live art into harmony. About H’artworks, Inc.
The purpose of H’artWorks is to provide a place where conscious community is fostered through the Arts (fine arts, folk arts, the art of communication, culinary, martial and healing Arts), in a newly re-imagined historic building.
H’artWorks, Inc. is a non-sectarian 501(c)(3) arts and education agency grounded in and guided by creative artistic free expression. To date, we have provided art and drama classes, a community computer lab, art shows, plays, recreational activities, and community and neighborhood development opportunities to the diverse community of children and families served by or near Horace Mann Elementary School in Long Beach, California.

The first annual h’ARTbeats in Harmony festival will bring an eclectic mix of visual and musical expression to Long Beach on October 3rd, from 1-7:30pm at Immanuel Center for Conscious Living. As part of the inaugural weekend of the Greater Long Beach Arts Lab, the show has two major parts. It begins with a children’s portion with Applesauce Music with Miss Suzi and The Boomerang Gang, family drum circle, and a children’s community art project. The rest of the show brings hip-hop, jazz, R&B, acoustic rock, spoken word poetry, and live art into harmony. There will also be a silent auction, all to benefit sustaining and expanding the services of H’artWorks, a 501(c)3 arts education institution.
